As Golden Valley Health Centers continues to serve our communities, we are steadily analyzing opportunities to grow and partner with others toward a shared mission: to provide access to high-quality health care for all, serving with dignity, respect and compassion.
For many years, GVHC has been a supporting partner in the Valley Consortium for Medical Education (VCME), the family medicine residency program at the Paradise Medical Office operated by Stanislaus County Health Services Agency.
Recently, Stanislaus County Health Services Agency announced their intention to no longer operate the Paradise Medical Office and facilitate the residency program. The County gave GVHC the opportunity to absorb these programs in addition to a specialty care clinic on McHenry Avenue. We are excited to announce that GVHC leadership has made the decision to step up and fill this need. As of July 1, GVHC will officially operate the Paradise Medical Clinic and family medicine residency program, at 401 Paradise Road in Modesto, and the McHenry Specialty Care Clinic at 1524 McHenry Avenue.
We are excited about this growth opportunity. We believe this will ensure continuity of care for both patients in our community and family medicine residents. GVHC is fully committed to medical education for the health and wellness of all people who call the Central Valley home. The primary goal of the residency program is to sustain a strong pipeline for family practice physicians in our area. We are proud to facilitate this critical program.
As a community partner and leader in the healthcare space, we look forward to expanding services to provide much-needed medical care for residents of Modesto while providing a home and coordinating instruction for physicians in residency working in our community.
