Grand Reopening Events Celebrate Newly Remodeled Los Banos Clinics
On October 4, 2023, Golden Valley Health Centers will celebrate the reopening of the medical clinic in Los Banos and welcomes community members to attend.
Golden Valley Health Centers began operating as a nonprofit healthcare organization in 1972 and opened the clinic in Los Banos shortly thereafter, in 1976. The health center in Los Banos has earned a reputation as a trusted partner in the community over many years. Golden Valley Health Centers now operates 43 clinics in three counties, providing nearly 600,000 services every year.
The Los Banos medical clinic was closed between June and mid-September for extensive renovations. Patient appointments were scheduled at nearby clinics or held at a modular site on the campus during this time. The medical and dental clinics in Los Banos have both been remodeled in the past year to better serve local patients and support health center initiatives around maintaining high quality services.
On Wednesday, October 4th, a grand reopening celebration will be held at both the medical and dental clinics to showcase the recent beautification work. The community is welcome to attend and enjoy a brief presentation including clinic staff, community partners and local dignitaries. Following the program there will be tours, giveaways and refreshments. The event will begin at 11:00AM at the medical clinic (821 Texas Ave.). After a short presentation, attendees are encouraged to visit the dental clinic at 725 West I street for food, children’s games and a Kids Dental Day event, all free to residents of the community.
The Kids Dental Day event will feature free dental exams for students in kindergarten and 1st grade. These events emphasize the importance of oral health and preventative dental care. Parents are asked to make an appointment for Kids Dental Day exams. Appointments can be made via telephone or text message at 209-826-1094.
